Fundraising

We owe a great debt of gratitude to our many friends that have selflessly raised thousands for Andrew's Trust.

Some of Andrew's closest friends performed two concerts in aid of the Trust. Kev, Rich, Phil and the Hedgehogs energised the Trust in a way we didn't think possible. We will be forever thankful for their efforts.

We extend this thanks to those that have celebrated their weddings, anniversaries and birthdays with large donations to the Trust. A number of our friends took leave of their senses to undertake endurance events from long-distance dessert running to cycling the length of France for the Trust. Their misguided adventures are sincerely appreciated.

Running across the Sahara

Three friends, Owen, Tommy and Graeme (pictured from left) tackled the gruelling Marathon des Sable in support of the Trust. They survived the six day, 151 miles, endurance race across the Sahara desert in 2007.

This feat is all the more impressive for Tommy as he injured his knee on Day 3 and yet still managed to complete the remaining three days, despite the agonising pain.

We congratulate them for finishing what is widely regarded as the toughest footrace on earth. We truly appreciate the generosity, and somewhat misguided adventure, of Tommy, Graeme and Owen. Their remarkable efforts raised £1500 for the Trust, and even more for the very worthy causes of Cancer Research, Water Aid and the Hummingbird Trust (which helps diabetic children in Scotland).

Dave and Ross’s Tour de France

Well done to Dave and Ross for completing the very arduous bike ride to Lourdes.  The boys cycled an exhausting 516 miles across France, from the English Channel to the Pyrenees.  Thanks to their efforts, their aching legs and a little saddle sore, they raised an extraordinary £1500 for the Trust
